The Caran d'Ache Pencil Sharpening Machine is Swiss-made and the solid metal construction ensures that it is built to last. Pine green machine engraved with 'Collector's Edition 1933'.
Using the supplied clamp, it can be mounted to a desk, table or bookcase. Can be used to sharpen any round, hexagonal or triangular pencils and pastels, from 4mm to 10mm in diameter, using a long-lasting helical blade. Robustly constructed from almost entirely metal, this is a sharpener that can be passed down through generations.
By pinching the butterfly clamps, the mechanism glides out to accept a pencil. Releasing the clamps holds the pencil firmly in position for sharpening. By pressing the button at the centre of the crank, it is possible to change the length of the point that the sharpener will create. A removable metal drawer holds the shavings.
